Classical Chinese & Daoist Medicine

Acupuncture

Acupuncture promotes healing through its fundamental understanding of the flow of vital energy, also known as qi. Qi is the fundamental life force that we extract from the food we eat and the air we breathe.

When the qi is full, balanced, and freely circulating throughout our bodies, we experience vigorous health.

However, when the qi is obstructed by some blockage—physical, mental, or emotional—inflammation, pain, and dis-ease result.

"We have been students of meditation and the healing arts for more than 4 decades and have encountered many teachers along the way.

Thomas Garbarino is without question one of the brightest lights.

The distinguishing marks of Thomas are his patience, deep calm and expansive yet humble holding of thousands of years of traditional healing from China.

It is unquestionable that he has transformed and blessed our lives.

It is with great confidence that we recommend Thomas.

Tui Na Shou Fa 推拿

Tui Na Shou Fa refers to the massage techniques used in Tradition Chinese Medicine.

It applies rhythmic touch and pressure of the soft tissues to clear the energetic channels (aka meridians), improve the circulation of Qi and blood, and regulate the body-mind system.

It is able to affect changes not only to the musculoskeletal system, but can also help to treat internal conditions.

"I spent several years seeing various doctors trying to get help for an intestinal problem with no results.

Then I "found" you and you listened to me about the problems.

The acupuncture helped and then the Chinese herbs really started to work.

I can't say enough for all you have done for me both physically and mentally. "

Chinese Herbal/Dietary Medicine

Chinese Herbal Medicine (CHM) has been practiced in Asia for thousands of years.

CHM successfully treats a variety of acute and chronic diseases as well providing preventative health care.

Practitioners of CHM assess a patient’s physical, mental, and emotional constitutions, their lifestyle, as well as any of their symptoms or concerns.

This assessment is then formulated into an herbal formula, which the patient will take daily for a recommended period of time.

As the conditions change over time the formula will be modified to meet the patients changing needs.

Private Qigong/Tai Chi Chuan Instruction

Traditionally, private instruction was the only way the internal arts were passed down from teacher to student. This ensured the highest quality of the transmission, skill development and comprehension of the art.

This is a great opportunity to deepen one's practice and understanding of the internal arts.

Private training is available in person or virtually.

Cost - $100/hr

"Your gift to me, and it is of the greatest value, is the awareness that I am surrounded by the healing energy of Chi.

When I am on the table, I feel this strong force moving in my physical body. It is quite amazing, and has to be experienced to be believed. Thank you."
