Weekend Workshop with Master Wang Fengming

Special Weekend Workshop

with

Master Wang Fengming

Master Wang teaching a seminar in China 2015

What participants will learn:

  • Hunyuan Chen style Taiji Quan 24 form
  • Chansi Gong (silk reeling exercises)
  • Neigong (energy cultivating exercises)

The Hunyuan Chen-style Taiji quan (Tai Chi Chuan) is a unique system of the internal martial arts. It combines the outer movement form and application of Chen-style Taiji quan with the internal practice of neigong (internal qi cultivation). Matched together, they make for a powerful practice.

The Hunyuan Chen-style Taiji quan 24 form is great for beginners, helping to relax the body and mind while teaching to coordinate the body's movement with qi. The 24 movement form practices the first four of the thirteen energies of Taiji (peng, lu, ji, and an) and creates a foundation for all the more advanced forms, push hands, and weapon forms.

Master Wang Feng-Ming is an internationally reputed martial arts master specializing in Taiji, Qigong, and Baguazhang, and also a renowned writer in martial arts.  He is the author of several books (in Chinese and a few in English) and has published more than 100 articles in martial arts magazines around the world.  More than 20 martial arts organizations in various parts of the world have appointed Master Wang as honorary institute director, professor, or consultant.

Master Wang Fengming began his martial arts training at the age of 8 learning Shaolinquan from Master Wang Youzhi and later Baguazhang from Master Liu Xinghan, the 4th generation of successor to Baguazhang. In 1975 he became a formal disciple of Grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang, the 18th generation of successor to Chen Style Taijiquan and also a successor of Qigong.

Master Wang Fengming has devoted himself to the practice and study of martial arts for decades and mastered Taijiquan, Qigong and Baguazhang. Having obtained the real Gongfu and developed comprehensively, he is proficient in techniques and has become one of the most successful disciples of Master Feng Zhiqiang. He has won many awards in Taijiquan or Qigong competitions at home and abroad.
